"Unable to join the network" Error (iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS, iTouch)

Attempting to join a WiFi network on your iPhone 2G, 3G 3GS or iTouch and getting "Unable to join the network" below is a step by step guide to resolving this very common issue. Unable to join the network

1. From the "Home" screen select "Settings"

2. From the "Settings" menu touch "General"

3. Scroll to the bottom and touch "Reset"

4. Touch "Reset Network Settings"

5. Touch "Reset Network Settings"

6. Your phone will now restart, afterwards try joining the Wireless again, all should be OK.
